Tennis Programs Director:
Head Tennis Pro:
Our beautiful har-tru tennis courts are open from late April until early November as weather allows. Members may organize their own recreational play, and there are regular all-comers doubles games organized on weekends, good ways to meet other members:
- Men’s Doubles: Saturdays, 10:30am-12:30pm
- Women’s Doubles: Saturdays, 8:30-10:00am and Sundays, 10:30am-12:00pm
A half-dozen or more member-run tournaments and events are held each season, generally on Saturdays, with a light lunch and cold drinks, plus prizes for winners. Events vary from year to year, but things always kick off in early May with Mixed Scrambles and continue through September. In addition, there are teams for both men and women of different levels and ages, a chance to compete with other tennis clubs throughout Westchester County.
We have a strong junior tennis program of instruction and team play as well as lessons and clinics, both individual and as a group, for all members with our pro and his assistants.
Platform Tennis Program Director:
Join our members playing Pickleball, America’s fastest growing racquet sport! During the warmer months, members of all ages play Pickleball on our platform tennis courts. For those new to this sport, our Club offers Open Pickleball Clinics where equipment is provided and instruction is offered. Members also organize Open Pickleball Games for players of different levels. Head Pro Austin Gardella holds PPR teaching credentials and is available for lessons for all ability levels.
For players interested in joining a team, our Club offers competitive Women’s and Men’s teams in local Tennis and Platform Tennis leagues.
The Club fields A-, B-, and C-level teams in the Metropolitan Interclub Tennis League (MITL). In addition, there is a MITL 50 LOVE team which plays in July through early August and a USTA 3.0 team that plays on Thursday evenings.
The Club fields a team that plays on Tuesday nights in the Westchester Tennis League and a 50-and-over team that plays on Sunday afternoons in the Westchester County Tennis League.
Women’s Platform Tennis
The Women’s Platform Tennis A- and B-Teams play in the Metropolitan Interclub Platform Tennis League (MIPTL), with weekly daytime matches and practices.
Men’s Platform Tennis
The Men’s Platform Tennis A- Team plays on Thursday nights and B-Team plays in the Westchester Platform Tennis League on Wednesday nights.
*Women of appropriate playing level may also compete on either/both of these teams.
